Service information
The Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) work closely with Community Nursing colleagues and Essex County Council teams to support patients suffering a mental health crisis to remain in their place of residence by providing timely assessment, diagnosis and treatment for up to six weeks.
In the event of a mental health emergency north east Essex patients and their families can access services out of hours by dialing 111 and selecting the option for mental health crisis.

The team are available 9:00am-5:00pm, 365 days a year.
Referral Information
Health professionals can refer for DIST involvement via Single Point of Access (SPA).
